General Questions

Q. On which platforms does mytvchannels work?
A. It works on both computer and television. But you can watch only one place at a time.
Q. What is the requirement for my broadband connection?
A. You need to have ADSL 2+ connection or ADSL with minimum speed of least 650k/s.
Q. What about the registration process?
A. You can register online from our website. The email address is your user id and a password is sent automatically to your account after you subscribe using credit card or Paypal.
Q. Credit card and Pay pal!!! Are they safe?
A. Payments made by credit card or Pay pal to mytvchannels would activate customers account automatically. Yes, they are safe because we are using Pay pal system. So, no credit card details are saved in our data. There is no auto renewal.
Q. Is payment through bank transfer accepted?
A. Yes, of course. It should be mentioned that auto activation is not available for bank transfers. So, there will be manual activation for customers who pay by bank transfers. It will take few hours to check and activate account.
Q. What is set top box?
A. Set top box is a device which will help you to view our services on your television.
Q. Will the set top box work in any country?
A. Yes, our set top box works in any country. Customers who use set top box will have better viewing and no buffering at all. So, customers living out side Japan would enjoy our service if you purchase a set top box.
Q. Will my old set top box from different provider work?
A. Yes, mytvchannels services work on most of the IPTV set top boxes. Please contact mytvchannels staff with the set top box details which you have.
Q. What is the streaming bit rate you are providing?
A. We are providing 650 Kbps to 750 Kbps.
Q. Do you provide ADSL service as well?
A. Yes. We provide ADSL service in affordable price that meets the basic requirements of mytvchannels. Please contact us for further details.
Q. Do I need to pay monthly subscription fee?
A. Yes you need to pay subscription fee. Our service is pre-paid only.
Q. Can I take mytvchannels with me when i move house/apartment?
A. Absolutely. This is as simple as moving your Television.

Technical Questions

Q. I can see site top banner and menu buttons but there are no any channel list available in the screen?
A. This indicates that you Subscription has been expired so pls renew it through online or call your Distributor for the Subscription renewal.
Q. When I turned on the STB, I can only see white screen and sometimes black screen remains- what could be the issue?
A. When you turned on STB pressing ‘power button(RED)’ please make sure that both the led (POWER and LINK) are blinking in STB. If not please press power button (RED) constantly from remote for 2-3 seconds and see if you find any changes in the screen. If still the issue remains same, Pls Press ‘YELLOW’ button from the remote which will show you channels page.
Q. I can see all my channels list in the screen but when I select any channels it shows ‘web fetch ended’ message in the screen – what could be the issue?
A. This is the issue of your network configuration where streaming port is blocked either from your local router or your Internet Service Provider intentionally block those ports. In both the case you have to arrange to open those streaming ports - both for tcp and udp; 554, 1755.
Q. Sometime channel doesn’t play and just shows ready message
A. Your internet speed may not enough so get high speed internet connection (you can call us for the High Speed Connection or for Consultation).
Q. It works in my PC but gives ‘web fetch ended’ error message while connecting STB through wireless route
A. Default setting in wireless router normally blocks streaming mms port for the STB, so Pls make sure of those ports are open and permitted.
Q. How to set up STB
A. a) Connect all needful accessories (Power, Internet Line, and Audio/Video) and tune TV to AV Video mode. View the connectivity diagram.
b) You must see boot up screen and wait for few seconds until it redirect to login page or channel menu page
c) Make sure that you have Internet Connection through Router(multi-port WAN/LAN device) and is properly configured
Q. How to check my Account Details including Subscription Expiry Information?
A. Go to menu called ‘ACCOUNT’ at the top where you can see all the details about your subscription
Q. How to renew my account?
A. You can renew your account with following options:
a) Pay Online through Paypal/Credit Card (www.mytvchannels.com.au)
c) Pay the Subscription Fee by depositing or transferring the amount to our bank account and notify us via email: sales@mytvchannels.com.au or by phone 1300826966
d) You can call your distributor and follow his instructions
Q. Screen shows ‘recovery mode’ with different options
A. This is the issue of your internet connection so pls make sure of your internet connection is working perfectly in DHCP mode through multi-port Router and connected LAN Cable is properly plugged with both STB and Router.
